Awful course for the price we had to pay, clubs were 50 euros which was almost as much as the round. We had people push in and also someone join us… we both had an awful day and are not happy at all.

Rio Real is a great course as a whole! The only matters you can criticize related to course is bunkers and pitch marks on greens. Bunkers are really really hard, like concrete! On greens you can find lot of unfixed ball marks.

Challenging undulating golf course in good condition. Unfortunately very slow round at 5 hours 20 minutes caused by course layout, difficulty for higher handicappers and long walks from green to tee. A few blind holes which are unfair and very small greens with pin positions placed on ridges.
When I questioned pace of play I was simply told, “it’s the season so very busy.” There are obvious measures to improve pace but club seem unwilling to do so.
I would not play here again simply because of the pace of play.

Santana Golf & Country Club is an 18 Hole golf course par 72 of approx. 6203 metres (just under 7000 yards) in length, set in 138 acres of picturesque parkland. The golf course, sympathetically laid out by the architect Cabell B. Robinson, is set in a former avocado plantation. The final result is a magnificent course with wide and well defined fairways on level terrain, hence easily walkable, where water features play an important albeit not excessive part in the overall design. Each hole has two championship tees and two tees for general play for both men and ladies– wide and well manicured putting greens surrounded by strategically placed bunkers, filled with sand produced from crushed marble. Buggy paths are provided throughout the golf course, beautifully integrated between the rows of fruit trees. Santana Golf course is technically speaking a demanding golf course as the unique design of each hole is intended to give a continuous challenge, even for the more experienced player. The layout of the greens, well protected by greenside bunkers, as well as the many water hazards spread throughout the golf course, will challenge every golfer and require good course management as well as the use of every golf club in the bag. It is difficult to speak of a signature hole at Santana Golf as they all have something special to offer. The long Par-4 18th is one of the most demanding finishing holes along the coast according to the designer, with the lake along the right hand side and a narrow approach to the green. The 4th hole can only be defined with one word: spectacular. The views from the tee are magnificent and the ‘Campillos’ stream provides a challenging approach to the green; or what about the 8th hole, with a length of 595 metre (650 yards) considered to be the longest hole of the Costa del Sol and favouring the longer hitter; not to forget the 12th Par 3, playing downhill, with a very large undulating green, many a golfer would be happy to walk away with a three here... One of the most outstanding features of Santana Golf is without a doubt the variety in design, as each and every hole is differentiated by its own characteristics. (...)

A nice parkland course that´s walkable. Interesting layout and good greens. Sometimes the pin position is absolutely unfair. It seems, as if the whole club is a bit worn out. Rotten buggies, no water in the ball-washer, a lot of stones in the bunkers, no water bottles from the starter. It´s very overpriced at the moment. 70€ would be ok, 120€ is a bad joke. That was our first and last visit.

Santana is a beautiful course, it was a bit dry, but hey what can they do... before us, there were some very slow flights, so the round lasted too long at the end.

It’s a very nice course, generally well kept and nice and open. We were a 4 ball and we all enjoyed the round. One thing that did upset us was the controlling of tee times. The 2 ball behind us were released 30 mins early straight behind us and so we felt under pressure from the start. We let them play through only to have another 4 ball race up behind us, and again they were aggressively pressurising our game to the point that it became intimidating, and it spoilt out round from there in.
The staff are very nice, the restaurant food is excellent, but in our opinion they let too many players on too quickly and with a lack of observing tee times.
Tee Times reply: Hello Roger Thanks for your feedback. A golf round in Iberia is supposed to take between 4 hours 20 minutes and 4 hours 45 minutes with 8 to 10 minutes interval. Sorry if you felt unconfortable.

Decent course, poor facilities. No range is a handicap.
Marshall wanted to directly put us on yellow tees due to slow play. He didnt give a notice earlier. He also drove past our group although we were just about to hit.

Marbella Club is a wonderful private club. New changing facilities and pro shop currently being built. Not the best greens on this trip. You need to plot your way round the course. Restaurant and service was excellent. A very good menu.

Hmmm. Not number 1 on trip advisor or shouldn't be. Course a little burnt. Club house small. Staff a bit abrupt. No refreshments in 18 holes and nobody told us to take extra refreshments.. 2 or 3 standout holes, but better available for money. For sure. All players disappointed by this place. Shop expensive too, at range another group didnt have balls (poor communication at starter, so we gave them a few each).
Cute place and has it's history, you aren't near other players most but.. 4/10. The 3 par 5s in middle the best. Not over crowded.

Guter Service.
