I spend much time thinking how to create in the player a feeling as he prepares each shot .I want the player to be able to visualize or imagine the shot immediately afterwards he sees the target. To do this I try, where possible, raise the tees; inclined fairways ; add bunkers and mounds; and carefully molding the greens. We use natural landscape features that seem to help stop the ball when slightly miss their target and to provide a greater variety of approach shots. Our philosophy seeks to penalize the golf shots in proportion to the fault. Our golf courses are designed with such subtlety that every time you play carry on another experience. Club de Golf Retamares

The Club de Golf Retamares is a family sports club founded in 1993. Thirty minutes to the north of Madrid and near the A1 Madrid – Burgos motorway, the course stretches over 720,000 m² of land with spectacular views of the mountains and the capital. In recent years, the Retamares philosophy has been given a more social and family slant. As a result, the Junior Retamares Open By IMG Academy tournament was organised from 2015 until 2019, and the Boys & Girls clubs tournament in 2015. (...)

The National Golf Centre has a long run of more than 6,400 meters, reminiscent of the typical British links, without trees, the gentle breezes that affect the game, especially in the evenings and a rough that can raise the level of requirement to the top. Currently, the field has adapted to the level of an amateur who wants to enjoy a day of golf with a magnificent panoramic view of Madrid and its surroundings. (...)

Olivar de la Hinojosa Golf was developed by José “Pepín” Rivero and José F. Marín and it was inaugurated in 1996. The golf course is 6,300 meters in length and features a very variable layout that requires the usage of all of a golfer's clubs. All players will appreciate the challenge posed by the course's narrow and mountainous fairways and short greens. (...)

The designer has turned a farm that was completely flat in a different terrain, building small hills, more or less pronounced, in different parts of the field. And he has achieved a field with multiple game options in almost every hole. It is a classic, parkland type course, long, with a total distance of 6,830 meters, a good challenge to host important tournaments; but also very nice to play for any amateur. Its fairways are wide and its greens, in general, large. It has three huge lakes that affect half of the holes, and the trees that have been planted (more than 1,200) in a short time will also become an important part of the game, as are its 68 bunkers. Strategy is more important here than distance: it forces you to think about each blow to get a better option in the next. Nicklaus has been responsible for that, as well as favoring those players capable of achieving good powerful fades. (...)
