Real Sotogrande Golf
Real Sotogrande Golf course is often voted to be among the top ten golf courses in Europe - and rightly so. Holes 7 and 12 have special relevance, as are considered two of the best holes in the World by GOLF MAGAZINE's publishers. It is the first golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones in Europe.''Sotogrande Old'', as it is called by the locals, boasts mature vegetation with pine, cork oaks, eucalyptus and giant palm trees enhancing the natural beauty of the surroundings.The first professional event to be played after Sotogrande's inauguration was the 1966 Spanish Open won by Roberto de Vicenzo with 279 strokes; the clubhouse winner boards show Severiano Ballesteros made the same score twenty-one years later to win the Spanish PGA Championship.

The weather was terrible. We had to stop our round mid way due to thunders. Unfortunately, we weren't offered a partial refund for playing only 10 holes due to weather conditions. I would expect a better handling from a high-end golf course.
