Santa Clara Golf opened in July 2001. This golf course is located only a couple of kilometres east of Marbella at the Costa del Sol in Spain.Enrique Canales designed this course in ''Park-land'' style and, although Santa Clara Golf is located in an undulated area, it is relatively forgiving. Probably the most difficult hole is the long 8th (par 5 - 506 metres). The tee box is positioned at the highest level of the course. The narrow fairway of this hole curves all the way down to sea level.Santa Clara Golf is designed accordance the latest USGA specifications of a Park-land course. Besides the huge river which swirls across the whole golf course there are plenty of lakes (the small lake around the 18th green provides a stunning setting, see the picture above) and spectacular elevated greens.

Course not in great condition, disease issue on number of greens. There was an issue with an earlier group tee booking which resulted in delayed start and course backing up .Clubhouse service good.

Fairways and greens were in a good condition, only some tee boxes for ladies were not good, but quite uneven

A bit disappointed with Santa Clara. The buggies are old and very unreliable. They don’t have enough - as soon as we came off the course players were waiting to take ours from us! The course is tatty - the greens were poor with large clumps in them - and very slow when we played them. Areas around the green were overgrown needing trimming. Of the 4 courses we played for similar money this course needs some attention.

6 h play is no good ????. Course is good, but the greens are different in speed.

A course in good condition, but not a layout that I favor (too much elevation). The restaurant was terrific.

Least enjoyable of the 4 courses. To hilly, short with to many blind shots. Fair condition.

It was quite demanding to walk and a good test of golf, perhaps a touch hard for some players.
