La Cala have decided to cancel their major maintenance work that was programmed for next summer 15 June till 8 September on America Golf course.
The increase in bookings they are receiving for 2021, plus the fact their current greens have been maintained in such great condition due to the lower numbers of golfers this year it allow these works to be delayed for 2022
So for the 3 La Cala golf courses the maintenance schedule will be: America golf course will now have its Hollow-Tining during the Easter period, and Asia and Europa golf courses in the summer, when they will close for 1month each through July and August.
La Cala Resort is one of the largest and most exclusive resorts in southern Europe with three 18 hole golf courses, the only David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Spain and a high standard Par 3 six hole golf course. The natural features of the La Cala terrain have been used to challenging effect by the renowned golf course architect, Cabell B. Robinson. The three golf courses are carefully maintained to ensure they are playable all year round. The North Course (now renamed Campo America) is perhaps more difficult than the shorter South (Campo Asia) but both demand great accuracy from the tee and careful club selection. Meanwhile, the third golf course, Campo Europa, uses the River Ojen in making the course distinctive. The layout allows for plenty of water hazards. All three offer different challenges to all levels of golfers and demand good course management in addition to a wide variety of shots.
Very quick app answer and help. I needed to change course and they did it.
Having played la cala America before heading to the Europe course I found it a little disappointing. the course itself was interesting and had some interesting and challenging holes, however the condition of the course compared to America was like chalk and cheese. Baked out fairways, bunkers with hard sandless bottoms and the greens were 2 feet slower than the America course. It is obvious the la cala club doesn't spend as much time and effort maintaining the Europe course as they do America which is confusing as it could be an excellent course.
Loved this course, fabulous views and in good condition. Every hole different and challenging.
Fantastic resort. Has to be one of Spains most fun courses. Vert hilly. Only negative was the hard bunkers.
Good condition a little easier than Asia must have a buggie
Very nice course, for a mid hcp the course was better than Asia
excelent, difficult but fair. very good maintenance
GREAt, design and shape was PERFECT
Enjoyed the course but underwhelmed by the people skills shown by some (not all) of the staff in the pro shop and restaurant!
Exceptional service at la calla golf just gave my name on arrival buggy was ready and tee time confirmed. Very picturesque and challenging course in excellent condition Many thanks to Eduardo for his assistance.
Windy but good fairway and a lot of sun!... happy!......
Europa supposedly the easier of the three courses was tough, excellent course though, service was slow in the restaurant but didn't spoil the overall experience.
Very good golfcourse with exiting holes....some driving between holes......not every bunker in perfect conditon.....but overall a very nice course to play. Not good that you have to drive your car 1 k to get to drivingrance.....so no warming up.
Electric buggy very good.
petrol buggies noisey and smelt of fuel and dangerous on wet buggy paths
